Terms and Conditions

Winds almost always come from north to south-east at a speed of 10-25 knots, they get stronger at the northern end of the island, and there are hardly any drafts. Rain usually reaches the island in the form of storms that approach on the wind side, typically the storms have strong gusts of wind. Visibility is typically over 8 nautical miles and decreases during a storm.

Hurricanes can occur in the Caribbean from June to November, with Grenada in the south of the region being the hardest hit. If there are any signs of a hurricane development, we advise all charter guests to keep in close contact with the base.

tide

  • In the Caribbean, the tidal range is very small: 30 to 90 cm including the fluctuation of the sea level, which is caused by atmospheric pressure and prevailing winds.
  • The current usually runs west at up to 2.5 knots.
  • Please note these facts if you want to take trips between the islands.
